07/1995 Location: - Photo: collection Skystef Description: this airframe of Aviation Sans Frontières / Piloten Zonder Grenzen arrived at Grimbergen airfield on December 14 1993. The company was formed in 1983 as non-commercial relief mission organization and was in fact a spin-off of the French organization with the same name. Here the airframe is depicted on the right side with Dutch titles. |

On September 5 1997 the Islander was damaged beyond repair when it touched down just short of the runway threshold on landing at Bondo (Democratic Republic of Congo) luckely without casualties. It was never repaired and in 2005 declared as a write-off. |
