28/03/1951 Location: Keerbergen (Belgium) Photo: collection Skystef Description: this Percival Proctor came on November 22 1946 in the register for Air Transport Company based at Brussels (Haren). After the company went bankrupt it was auctionned on March 23 1950 and a few month later on June 12 registered to a couple private users (G. Van Passel & L. Vlieghe) basing the airframe at Antwerp. On a training flight it was damaged beyond repair when on take off it obtained insufficient speed and hit a small embankment at end of the runway at Keerbergen airfield (Belgium) on March 26 1951, luckely without casualties of the three on board. Here depicted such and a crash report (in French) can be found here. The remains were later transported to Antwerp and it was cancelled from the register on December 8 1954. |
