Beechcraft 65 Queen Air (LC-117)

Date: 1968

Location: BRU/EBBR

Photo: collection Skystef

Description: this second hand Beechcraft was registered on April 23 1968 to Etablissements Traveco based at Charleroi airport. Here it's seen parked at Brussels Airport in a livery without titles and this color scheme with tail logo was in fact a remnant of its previous German operator 'Südflug'. In April 1969 it was seen with an all white tail and in 1971 it was noted with tiny "Publi-Air" titles in this white tail (see picture OO-GVS). On June 21 1971 it had a non fatal accident at Grimbergen airfield but was afterwards withdrawn from use. A year later, namely on August 7, it was cancelled from the register migrating afterwards to France as "F-BTQI" for Transairco who (most probable) restorated this airframe and it soldiered on for many years for Air Cote d'Azur till its cancellation from the French register on December 23 2004.
