29/08/1998 Location: BRU/EBBR Photo: Mike Parsons Description: this A340 of Sabena arrived at Brussels on June 25 1996 after spending the previous three years with Air France + a brief lease to Lufthansa. On August 29 1998, it was victim of a landing accident at Brussels Airport. Credit to Mike Parsons, who was lucky to witness and capture the event on film, and was so kind to provide the material for showing on this site. Arrival on runway 25L of flight SN542 from New York, nothing seemed wrong. |

On June 23 2000 it was tempo stored at Chateauroux (all white and no titles), but returned on November 7 2000 in white colors but without the billboard titles. It remained active till the demise of Sabena on November 7 2001. |
