10/04/1993 Location: BRU/EBBR Photo: Skystef Description: this Russian helicopter was in September 1992 leased from KomiAviaTrans to Skytech Helicopter Service. It was seen for the first time at Brussels on November 6 1992 carrying the markings of Aeroflot with additional "Skytech" titles and a telephone number. It had also orange "Ukhta" titles on its nose, here seen such when parked at Brussels. |

Little or no duties were done and it was decided to ferry the heli on July 11 1994 to Ostend for the lower parking fees. In 1995 it was seen operational in Germany on some occasions, but most of the time afterwards it sat idle at Ostend. By November 1998 the main gear and rotors were removed and on November 17 1999 it was transported by road and water to Charleroi where it was supposed to be revised by Sabca to get airworthly again but this never did materialise and shortly afterwards it saw the end of its life with a scrap dealer. |
