Description: the first B747 airframe for Sabena was delivered at Brussels on November 26 1970. It went operational (to New York) on January 8 1971.

Description: here captured on a landing in its first livery, but with a grey belly adopted in 1971.

Description: between January and February 1974, it was converted by Boeing to SCD (Side Cargo Door) on the left side. Also in the upper deck the 3 standard windows were replaced by 10. Here a magnificent view taken from the tower towards satellite "A" (later renamed "C") with in the foreground a Fokker F27 "OO-SBP" and in the back a Sabena Caravelle, most probable "OO-SRA" which flew its final season for them before retirement.
