Description: this factory fresh Cessna (build by Reims) was on July 21 1980 registered to Abelag Aviation, established in 1964 based at Grimbergen airfield, and arrived at Brussels Airport a few weeks later, namely on August 4 1980, here seen in a red-brown livery without titles. Two months later, on September 2 1980, it migrated to Aeroclub Sanicole (Beverlo airfield). On May 5 1987 it moved on to a private user (L. Plees), Beverlo airfield. On January 23 1998 it returned to Aeroclub Sanicole and with this club it had a crash on December 9 2005 when it impacted in poor visibilities the terrain in a meadow between Clinge and Hulst (the Netherlands) killing both on board. A crash report (in Dutch) can be found here. Afterwards the wreckage was for a while laid up in a hangar at Beverlo airfield and it was cancelled from the register on March 27 2019.
