Description: this vintage 1952 build Piper (ex USAAF) came on September 12 1968 in the register as "OO-HMQ" for a private user (F. Vanderstraeten) basing it at Moorsele airfield. On April 28 1970 it was re-registered as "OO-ALB" for Aeroclub Albatros based at Ghent airfield. In March 1975 it moved on to Western Aviation based at Amougies airfield and later that year Vliegclub Hoevenen (established on October 18 1973) became the owner, here seen such in a livery without titles. In the autumn of 1989 it was seen laid up at Hoevenen airfield and migrated later in 1993 unofficially to a private user (P. Winters) with the purpose using some parts for restoration of another Piper "OO-VVC". On December 2 1998 it was cancelled from the register as sold to the States for spares.
