Bellanca 8KCAB Decathlon (610-80)

Description: this factory fresh Bellanca was registered on April 4 1981 to Acropole, established on December 1 1979 and based at Namur airport, here seen such at its home base in a livery without titles. Later it base moved to St Ghilain airfield but by January 1986 it was withdrawn from use as the wings were overstressed by continuous aerobatics. It was seen wingless at Grimbergen airfield wereby its CofA did expire on April 2 1986 and was later that year by Acropole's owner (G. Copet) transported to its private residence at St Hubert for restoration. When the job was done in 1989 it changed its livery and went on September 4 1990 to Acrobat based at Charleroi airport, a small company which was a few years later liquidated on October 7 1993. Afterwards on August 5 1994 it went to a private user (L. Delvaux) based at Liège airport. The airframes CofA did expire on June 6 1999 but was later reactivated and seen in Germany last noted active in 2005. Over there it went to a private owner Martin Heisler being cancelled from the register on October 28 2008. Afterwards on July 23 2011 it ended for this owner up in the American register as "N115XX".
