Convair CV-580(F) (135)

Description: the fourth Convair of European Air Transport was delivered at Brussels on October 26 1987 in the basic colors of previous operator Emery Air Freight. Afterwards it went into maintenance for over one year to rebuild the nose section due to corrosion.

Description: on March 24 1989 it emerged from the paint shop at East Midlands in slightly darker DHL colors.

Description: captured on runway 25R just after scraping it for about 150m with a retracted nosewheel, but luckely without injuries. Afterwards the airframe was repaired within two weeks and soldiered on till 1996 when on November 11 it was transferred to siter company Swiftair being cancelled as "EC-GKH".
