Description: this factory fresh Wassmer Europe was registered on May 28 1973 to Libramont Aviation (Aéroclub Libravia) established on June 1 1968, initially based Bertrix airfield, later at St-Hubert airfield and Amougies airfield and this airframe was delivered the same day at its base Bertrix airfield. Here it's depicted at Charleroi airport in a livery without titles with in the back a Britannia of Centre Air Afrique "9U-BAD" which was parked there between February 1977 and April 1981 and ultimate broken up at this spot. From 1975 onwards the Wassmer was at disposal to Air Luxembourg and made on September 17 1980 its last flight (a local flight at Charleroi airport). A year later its CofA did expire and was stored inside a hangar at Charleroi airport for several years. After the club went into liquidation it was confiscated by the curator and later also put for sale. On January 26 1988 it was unofficially sold to a private user (J. Van der Linden) and a few months later transported on a trailer to his property at Wilrijk (Belgium) for restoration. It arrived by road for further restoration at Hoevenen airfield in the summer of 1989, but ultimate the project failed and the airframe was from 1991 onwards in open air abandoned for several years at this airfield, last noted there on March 13 1993 in poor conditions with grafitti painted on it. Afterwards it was broken up and cancelled from the register on August 29 2019.
