Cessna F.172P Skyhawk II (F172-02108)

Date: 06/1981

Location: ANR/EBAW

Photo: collection Skystef

Description: this factory fresh Cessna was registered on May 15 1981 to Transmarcom-air, an Antwerp airport based flying unit affiliated with transport company "Transmarcom" which was formed in 1979. It was delivered at its home base four days later and is seen here in a livery without titles. This picture is quite rare as two weeks later, namely on June 3, it was reregistered "OO-TRB" for the same company. By 1984 it went to a couple private owners (J. Voet & M. Cornelis), from  May 5 1997 onwards solely for M. Cornelis with the airframe being based at Ursel airfield. It had a fatal crash in a snow shower near its homebase on January 2 2010 killing both the owner and a passenger and was cancelled from the register on August 16 2012.
