Description: this second hand Cessna (build by Reims) was registered on December 9 1977 to Jeugd en Luchtvaart (with an appropriate registration) sponsered by Ford Motor Company. It was formed on February 26 1969 to encourage aviation for the youth and was based at Antwerp airport. It was the second airframe for this club which arrived its home base a month earlier, namely on November 4 as "PH-GVP", here depicted in a livery inhereted from its previous Dutch operator with titles of the new operator and sponser. On April 30 1987, it tragically crashed into a yacht when the pilot got desorientated in low cloudiness on a VFR flight to England which originated from Antwerp airport killing the three occupants on board + two on the boat near Solent Channel, 3 miles East of Ryde, Isle of Wight (U.K.). A crash report can be found here. It was cancelled from the register on October 6 1988.
