SOCATA Rallye 110ST (3302)

Date: 04/1984

Location: ANR/EBAW

Photo: collection Skystef

Description: this factory fresh SOCATA was registered on February 26 1981 to Ibis Avia, a flight school based at Ghent airfield. Here it's seen such when it made a visit to Antwerp airport wearing a livery with some small titles of this school (see also upper left inset). In fact it was since November 17 1983 on loan to C.E.B.L.O. (see below).

Date: 90's

Description: as the airfield in Ghent had to close its doors on December 31 1984, the airframe officially migrated on June 14 1984 to C.E.B.L.O. (Centrum Ter Bevordering van Luchtvaart Opleiding) established on January 1 1971 and based at Antwerp airport. It retained the same outfit but changed its titles to "CEBLO", here seen such. It went to a private user (F. Smolders) on December 9 1994, but later on August 25 1995 its CofA did expire being for sale and laid up inside a hangar at Antwerp airport. No sale materialized and after this private user passed away in 2003, ownership unofficially changed to the city of Antwerp and was in January 2003 seen being used as an instructional airframe at the Stedelijk Lyceum Paardenmarkt in Antwerp (alias SITO 4) which also uses a hangar at Antwerp airport. It was cancelled from the register on January 22 2004.
