Location: KJK/EBKT

Description: this second hand Piper was registered on February 27 1973 to a private owner (F. van Couillie) and based its aircraft at Wevelgem airport, here seen such in a livery without titles. In 1987 it (unofficially) went to a private user (F. Declerck), basing the airframe at Antwerp airport.

Date: 08/1988

Location: -/EBGB

Photo: collection Skystef

Description: on February 5 1988 it migrated to the Sabena Aéro Club based at Grimbergen airfield which was originally established on September 11 1946 as Section Sportive et de Tourisme Aérien (SSTA), on April 17 1954 it became a non profit association and changed to its present name in 1985. Here seen such in its full outfit wearing small "Sabena Aero Club" titles in its cheatline (see also upper left inset). However they had little joy with it as one year later, on March 26 1989, it fell victim of a crash just after takeoff due to engine troubles at Grimbergen airfield with a total loss of this airframe. Over 30 years later (!!!) it was officially cancelled from the register, namely on December 5 2019.
