Description: build in 1953, this second hand Piper (ex USAAF and ex Belgian Army as "OL-L136") was registered on June 4 1970 to a private user (V. Melotte) which based its aircraft at Kiewit airfield. In 1975 it went to Skyworks (established on January 1 1970) for bannertowing and based it at Antwerp airport. Here seen such in the livery of the Belgian Army but without titles. On May 4 1975 it was slightly damaged on an emergency landing in a field at Kruibeke (Belgium) due to engine troubles and a report of this incident (in Dutch) can be found here. No action was undertaken when its CofA did expire on October 9 1975 and it was cancelled from the register on November 16 1979.
