 Britten - Norman Islander BN.2A-21 (468)

Description: this Islander was delivered to the Belgian Army as "B02 / OT-ALB" on May 25 1976, here seen such in its camouflage outfit with tiny "Force Terrestre / Landmacht" titles below the cheatline (see also upper left inset).

Description: from 1990 onwards it was used for marine environmental control, here seen such with a 'Side Looking Airborne Radar' on its belly and also carrying tiny titles below the tail (see upper left inset). It was struck of charge by the military on March 31 2005 and was reserved for the Management Unit of the North Sea Mathematical Models.

Description: thus the role of marine survey was continued when on February 27 2006 the aircraft was transferred to the Belgian Science Policy Office (BELSPO) and getting an appropriate civil registration, based at Antwerp airport. Here depicted in their full color scheme with titles indicating for what it is used for (see also upper left inset) but without tail logo which was later adopted and still current with since 2017 an updated livery.
