SOCATA MS.880B Rallye Club (2301)

Description: this factory fresh SOCATA was registered on July 12 1973 to SPRL Aviation based at Grimbergen airfield. By February 1974 it migrated to a private user (E. Buelens) basing its aircraft at Antwerp airport, here seen such in a livery with "Aviation training" titles inhereted from its previous operator which were later erased. From 1977 onwards it had four different private owners, all based at Kiewit airfield, and on September 24 1982 it ended up with Aero Kiewit. With this club it crashed on June 25 1986 near its home base when during a baptise flight had a mid-air collision with a Belgian Air Force Mirage "BA13" killing the three people on board the SOCATA. It was officially cancelled from the register on November 27 2001.
