Description: this vintage 1944 build Piper (ex USAAF) came in the Belgian register on August 22 1946 for the Royal Antwerp Aviation Club (R.A.A.C.) established on November 3 1927. On October 19 1967 it was officially sold to Aeroclub Keiheuvel established on October 18 1956 and based at Balen-Keiheuvel airport although it might have been leased a year earlier to them, here seen such at its home base in a livery without titles. Later in the early eighties it moved on to a private user (A. De Becker) also based at Balen-Keiheuvel airport but was stored there. On January 29 1986 it was cancelled but the same day registered as "OO-XYZ" for Namur maintenance / Namur Aviation / Sofinair. The airframe was transported to Namur airport but apparently never flew again being cancelled from the register on February 17 1993 after been damaged in a hangar fire a few weeks earlier, namely on January 30. Afterwards it was restorated and went to France as "F-GJPH" for a private user.
