03/08/1981 Location: ANR/EBAW Photo: collection Skystef Description: this factory fresh Cessna was on August 2 1957 registered to Sabena and arrived at Brussels Airport a week earlier on July 27. It was used by Ecole d’Aviation Civile / Burgerlijke Luchtvaartschool (founded in 1952) and based at Grimbergen airfield providing training for future Sabena pilots but was also used by Air Congo in 1960-61. Here seen on a training flight to Antwerp airport in their second livery without titles. |

03/1986 Location: BRU/EBBR Photo: collection Skystef Description: later in 1981 it was laid up at Brussels Airport whereby its CofA did expire March 13 1982, here seen a few years later looking quite tired and it was even hit by a truck while parked. On January 27 1988 it was cancelled from the register and in May 1989 partly broken up whereby later the fuselage was transported to VTR building Vilvoorde (Belgium), in 1993 seen at Grimbergen airfield, last noted there near the airport tower on November 15 1998. |
