10/1966 Location: BRU/EBBR Photo: collection Skystef Description: this second hand Cessna was on September 29 1964 registered to Sabena after been in the Congolese register for Sobelair Sobelair as "OO-CUB" since April 1 1957. Later on March 30 1961 it came for Sobelair in the Belgian register as "OO-CUB" but still based in the Congo. Since October 27 1964 it was used by Linair for operations within Libya whereby the airframe migrated as lease to BIAS on July 1 1965 when Sabena ceased this kind of operations, here seen such when it returned to Brussels Airport still in the livery of Linair. |

12/1968 Location: BRU/EBBR Photo: collection Skystef Description: depicted at Brussels in basic colors of BIAS with a Libyan flag in the tail as this airframe would continue operations for Linair till late 1968. On December 6 1968 its CofA did expire and was laid up at Brussels Airport, seen there in a bare metal livery without props in November 1972. On April 12 1973 it was cancelled from the register moving later to the German one as "D-IDIX" for Fa. Wirtschaftflug Rhein-Main GmbH & Co KG. |
