Description: this vintage 1943 build Piper (ex USAAF) came in the Belgian register on August 6 1947 for La Route de l'Air based at Liège airport. On May 2 1951 it moved on to Section Sportive et de Tourisme Aérien (S.S.T.A.), based at Grimbergen airfield which was formed on September 11 1946. It became on April 17 1954 a non-profit association changing in 1985 its name to Sabena Aéro Club. Here it's seen on a visit to Antwerp airport in a metal livery with only a tail logo of the club. The airframe itself was rebuild using the fuselage of another Piper "OO-EPI". On May 20 1975 it was cancelled from the register moving a month later on June 17 to a private user Brian Arthur Dunlop as "G-BDEZ".
